The Anti-Christ will be an amazing leader that brings in three and half years of peace to the Middle East. He will resolve the problem of the proximity of the Dome of the Rock Mosque and the new Temple. There will be a covenant made by the Anti-Christ to rebuild the temple and restore the sacrificial traditions.
Daniel 9:27 it says, “Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; but in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, even until the consummation, which is determined, is poured out on the desolate.”
The last temple was destroyed in 70 A.D. by the Romans.
The solution that the anti-Christ will reveal has been revealed in Revelation 11:2 where it says that “the outer court of the temple has been given to the Gentiles”.
Dr. Asher Kaufman, retired Professor of Physics at the Racah Institute of Physics of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, published a report in April of 1982 that outlined where he thought the temple actually stood. He postulates that the temple did not stand where the Dome of the Rock Mosque sits presently, but about 27 meters to the North. If you stand on the temple mount you will see to the North of the Dome of Rock Mosque there is a wide open empty space.
The Mishnah states that the temple was in a perfect line, east to west, that lined up exactly with the Eastern gate, or the Golden Gate which is now walled up. That Eastern Gate, if you take a line, it does not come close to the Dome of the Rock Mosque but rather to a little gazebo structure. It was named the “Dome of the Spirit” and the “Dome of the Tablets”. It’s the only openly exposed piece of bedrock on the Temple Mount. The other exposed piece of bedrock is inside the Dome of the Rock Mosque where Muslims say Ishmael was offered to God by Moses. The rock inside the Mosque is huge and jagged and could not be where the Ark of the Covenant sat and where Isaac was offered up to God by Moses. The other rock under the gazebo is flat and untouched.
If you stand in the gazebo you are perfectly in line with the Eastern Gate. Kaufman said that because that is bedrock and no human tools have been used on it and it is exactly perpendicular to the Eastern Gate, that is where the temple stood.
This has only been accepted by some of the Jews recently. Foundation stones have been discovered to the North of the temple mount which indicate where the outer wall would have been. If the temple is positioned where Kaufman suggests then you could have the present Dome of the Rock Mosque and the newly rebuilt temple existing side by side.
Rev 11:2 says to “leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles”. A “Gentile” is by biblical definition anyone that is not a Jew.
The outer court will encompass the Dome of the Rock mosque, of the “Gentiles”.
When the Anti-Christ announces this solution, the world will be so impressed.
When the temple is rebuilt, he will enter the temple and commits the “Abomination of Desolation” which is when he declares himself to be God and demands to be worshiped. When this occurs the Jews will see him go in and declare this in the Holy of Holy’s and claim to be God and realize that he is the Anti-Christ. He will demand that everyone take the mark of the beast in worship of him and in order to buy or sell.
The UK Guardian reported today that the “iPhone records everywhere you go, saves every detail of it on the device and copies the data to your computer when the device is synced.”
The technology is already in place for people to be forced to take a mark for all commerce.
Revelation 21 shows us the conclusion to the new temple, “And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal. Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel. The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.
